Continuing Education Contact Hour Calculations

Contact hours of continuing education are calculated as follows:

• 1 contact hour = 50 – 60 minutes of continuous instruction
• 1 contact hour = 50 – 60 minutes of licensee presentation (No contact hours are awarded for preparation of presentation.)
• 1 academic quarter hour = 10 contact hours
• 1 academic semester hour = 15 contact hours
